   The discovery of mold (or microbial growth) typically does not involve any emergency services. Mold does not form within a few hours, and if an environment or situation has been present long enough to warrant microbial growth, it typically is no longer an emergency situation but it does warrant remediation. We do NOT want to put air movement on your damp surfaces. This can cause the microbial growth to become airborne, further contaminating the structure. We want to make sure all areas are properly remediated for microbial growth before any drying process begins.
3. Working With Your Insurance Adjustor
   We will work directly with your insurance company and provide them with an estimate and necessary scope of work. We can even help facilitate the discovery of the source of loss if the insurance company needs this information to make a coverage decision. If this is not an insurance loss, you will be provided with our remediation estimate. We do our best to provide an accurate estimate for remediation services prior to starting the project, but microbial growth can be hidden, and we will need to adjust the final invoice for actual services performed. This will be discussed, and you will be notified prior to the additional work being performed. Each phase of the process is invoiced separately (remediation and repairs). So you will receive a microbial remediation invoice separate from your repair invoice.

If your repairs are extensive enough to require permitting, we will work with your local jurisdiction to pull permits, and make sure that all inspections are scheduled accordingly. You can have peace of mind knowing that your repairs were performed in accordance to all local building codes and construction requirements. It is difficult to estimate the repairs that will be required until a mold remediation is complete. This is because we do not always know prior to remediation, how much material will need to be removed in order to properly remediate the microbial growth. We can give you a “ballpark” estimate for repairs, but we will need to revise the repair estimate after remediation services are completed.

   any times, your mortgage company will be included on the settlement checks from the insurance company. This can be an arduous process to work with their claims department in order to get their signature or to request draws. They may also cover emergency food and clothing supplies necessary to continue your normal day-to-day schedule.
• Photo document the entire process. A photo is like a thousand words, and many times photos are essential in documenting this process, loss of personal property, and even structural elements of your home prior to the loss.
